Painting of Pachmann sitting at a piano. Three men in the background observing him.
Through You I Live Forever
"BRAVO! BRAVO! Welte Mignon*! You have
given me one of the greatest
experiences of my
life. You have made my fondest dream come true-
the dream of a perfect recording method and a re-
producing mechanism
thru which my playing as
an
interpretative artist might live forever.
You are my
undying 'alter ego'–thru you my own invisible hands
render the spell of my Chopin, my
Liszt. You have
my unqualified endorsement.
Thru you I live forever."
V. de Pachmann
